Iridium 65 a communication satellite reached a magnitude of -01 in the sky. It was moving through the constellations Hydrus and Octans on 25 September 2008 (19:42:14). The photograph was taken from Westdene in Bloemfontein and the light polution is clearly visible. The four stars close to the southern pole give some perspective. The initial fourcast was made with Orbitron software (Freeware) and then plotted on TheSky 6. Seven images were stacked in Startrail software. Photoshop CS3 was used for the final processing.
